PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system which can control a relative location relation between an own vehicle and the other vehicle, even when communication performance is decremented between the own vehicle and the other vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicle control system determines an occurrence of communication failure between the own vehicle and the other vehicle. In a normal state when no communication failure occurs, the system sends an acceleration/deceleration profile of the own vehicle, and when a communication failure occurs, the system sends only the location information of the own vehicle. Accordingly, even if communication performance is decremented, the system can ensure communication performance by reducing communication traffic, and the controlled vehicle at the receiving side can control a relative location relation between the own vehicle and the other vehicle based on the received information.
