PURPOSE: A broadcast signal receiving apparatus and a method thereof are provided to skip a paid channel which a user does not have a watching right. CONSTITUTION: A user selects n channel(200). A tuner unit receives the broadcast signal of the channel n(210). A parsing unit extracts CAS(Conditional Access System) information from the received broadcast signal(220). If the extracted CAS information is matched with a receiving limit information in a memory, a signal processing unit decodes the broadcasting signal(230,240). A display unit displays the image of the channel n(250).
