IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS USING ERROR DIFFUSION METHOD

PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus using an error diffusion method is provided to reduce the calculation amount for processing an image. CONSTITUTION: A detailed image map generator(350) generates a detailed image map. According to a threshold value, a binarization unit(320) binarizes the pixel values of a changed input image. A subtractor(330) performs a subtraction operation for the pixel value of the changed input image and the binarized value. An error diffusion filter(340) filters error values through weight. An adder(310) generates the changed input image through the addition of a filtered error value for the pixel value of the inputted image.
