<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component capable of reducing breaking of a coil, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing the electronic component having the coil formed by connecting a plurality of coil conductor layers 18 by via hole conductors b1 to b6. A plurality of insulator layers 19 are prepared. In the insulator layers 19, the via hole conductors b1 to b6 are formed. On the principal surface of an insulator layer 19b, a coil conductor 18b, which has a wall part W protruding on the side in a positive direction in the z-axial direction from a connection position P1 where the via hole conductor b1 formed in the insulator layer 19b laminated on the positively-directional side in the z-axial direction is connected, is formed at least partially around the connection position P1. A region which is on the insulator layer 19b and other than the region where the coil conductor layer 18b is formed is coated with insulating paste by screen printing in a direction toward a positively-directional side in an (x)-axial direction.
