The present invention relates to a solid film lubricant system useful in coating a metal, ceramic or polymeric material wear surface, comprising i) a carrier, ii) solid lubricant components, iii) additives. The object of the present invention is to provide a lubricant system which enables the preparation of tailor-made AF (antifriction) coatings for industrial application through careful selection of the suitable solid lubricant components.
