The method involves transmitting two real-time data streams as a multiplexed data stream combination in data channels using a packet-oriented digital data interface of a switching circuit e.g. high frequency transmitter/receiver circuit (105). Data of the real-time data streams are transmitted in continues interval of the multiplexed data stream combination. The real-time data streams are associated to respective radio antennas e.g. primary antenna (115) and diversity antenna (135). The mapping of the real-time data streams is changed after transmission process. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for receiving digital data by a switching circuit (2) an interface device for performing a method for transmitting digital data.
