METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OBTAINING HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGE BASED ON MULTI-BAND SYNTHESIS FILTERS

PURPOSE: A device and a method for obtaining a high resolution image using a multi-band combining filter are provided to approximate repetitive processes through parallel filtering without extracting a high frequency image through repetition. CONSTITUTION: A high frequency extracting unit(110) includes filters, weight value units, and a high frequency combining unit. The high frequency extracting unit generates a high frequency image from a low resolution input image through parallel filtering. A high frequency magnifying unit(120) magnifies the high frequency image to generate the magnified high frequency image. An image magnifying unit(130) magnifies the low resolution input image to generate a magnified input image. An image combining unit(140) combines the magnified high frequency image with the magnified input image.
