PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-formation controller capable of increasing a processing speed related to the reduction of an error memory capacity and access to an error memory while suppressing the deterioration of an image grade, a quantization method and a printer device. SOLUTION: Whether or not a quantization error generated in the case of quantization is diffused to a succeeding line is determined at every color element, and the color elements diffusing the error to the succeeding line are changed over selectively at every line.
