PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, its control method, and a control program which are advantageous for establishing a limiting range of revolution quickly, easily and without mistake. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 10 is composed including a base stand 12, an outer case 14 which is prepared to be possible to revolute making a first virtual axis L1 as a center, an inner case 16 which is prepared to be possible to revolute making a second virtual axis L2 as a center in an upper and inner side of the outer case 14, and a camera unit 18 accommodated in the inner case 16. A first and a second limiting angles are limiting angles in both directions of the revolution directions of the outer case 12, a third and a fourth limiting angles are limiting angles of both directions of revolution directions of the inner case 16. The camera unit 18 is made to rotate corresponding to the changed limiting angle in each time that setting values of the first to the fourth limiting angles are changed on a menu screen while viewing and recognizing both the imaging screen and the menu screen displayed on a monitor apparatus 6.
