PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which shortens time necessary for image formation and efficiently carries out processing of image quality adjustment, and to provide a control program of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A part 28 for obtaining a remaining number of paper specifies a remaining number of images formed before an image formation processing is interrupted. When the specified number of images formed is not larger than a preliminarily set number, an image quality adjustment execution determining part 26 avoids execution of adjustment processing for adjusting an image quality of the images formed by the image formation processing during execution of the image formation processing.
