PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device which can reduce any feeling of incompatibility to a driver.SOLUTION: An ECU 7 of the driving support device 1 includes: a parameter arithmetic part 8 for calculating the target vehicle speed or the like of an own vehicle at a target vehicle speed setting spot based on the current location of the own vehicle and the information of a map database 13; a target deceleration arithmetic part 10 for performing the arithmetic operation of the target deceleration of the own vehicle based on the vehicle speed detected by a vehicle speed sensor 5 and the target vehicle speed or the like, and for determining the change frequency of deceleration assist controlled variables from the target deceleration; a braking and driving distribution arithmetic part 11 for performing the arithmetic operation of the number of steps of a shift and brake controlled variables based on the target deceleration searched by the target deceleration arithmetic part 10 and the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle speed sensor 5; and a vehicle control part 12 for controlling the shift and brake in accordance with the number of steps of the shift and the brake controlled variables. The target deceleration arithmetic part 10 decreases the change frequency of the deceleration assist controlled variables according as the target deceleration is high. |
