PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-endotoxin agent inhibiting LPS activity and effective on preventing or treating not only periodontal diseases but also endotoxin shock symptoms etc. caused by bacterial infection; and to provide an inhibitor for the oral cavity for suppressing periodontal diseases containing the same.SOLUTION: The anti-endotoxin agent includes an active component of a surfactant having an amide structure in the molecule (e.g. a fatty acid monoethanolamide, fatty acid diethanolamide, fatty acid amide betaine, fatty acid amide propyl betaine, N-acylamino acid salt and N-coconut oil fatty acid acyl L-arginine ethyl dl-pyrrolidone carboxylic acid salt). The composition for the oral cavity for suppressing periodontal diseases including an effective amount of the anti-endotoxin agent, is also provided. |
