PURPOSE: A solar cell and a surface unevenness forming method thereof are provided to maintain a haze ratio to be proper by removing an unevenness forming process and converting a metal layer into a chemical compound. CONSTITUTION: A configuration layer(201) is formed on a substrate. The configuration layer is a thin film layer comprising the substrate of a solar cell or a thin film layer comprising the solar cell. A metal layer is laminated on the configuration layer. The metal layer, which has an uneven structure, is formed by executing a thermal processing on the metal layer. The unevenly structured metal layer is converted into a metal compound(203) which includes one among oxide, nitride, fluoride, and sulfide.
