PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oblique stripes from appearing on a screen even when the signal level of an analog television signal is low. SOLUTION: A color signal processing circuit comprises: an A/D converter 11 for converting the analog television signal into a digital signal using a clock; a color signal demodulation circuit 12 for performing color demodulation on the television signal converted into the digital signal by the A/D converter; a clock generator 13 for generating the clock to be used by the A/D converter; and a frequency controller 16 for controlling the frequency of the clock of the clock generator on the basis of the color sub carrier frequency of a color signal included in the analog television signal and a vertical synchronizing signal frequency of the analog television signal.
