PURPOSE: A display device and a control method thereof are provided to improve visual concentration and aesthetics. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit(100) has a plurality of lighting emitting units which are mutually separated to express dynamic images. A control unit(200) implements a dynamic image by changing the emission time of the display device and controlling the flash of the light emitting units to change the on-time of the light emitting unit.
