The lock has upper and lower position limiters (4, 5) arranged above and below an attraction element (6) e.g. electro-magnet, respectively. Upper and lower plates (2, 3) are slid in a vertical hole (11) of a base (1). A cover has an opening (72) on a front surface for uncovering the attraction element. A bolt (74) connects the cover and one of the plates. A door element (8) has a notch (81) receiving the cover. A magnetically attracted element (82) i.e. metal plate is placed inside the notch and attracted towards the attraction element.
