PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound having control activity on a harmful organism. SOLUTION: The pyrimidine compound is represented by formula (1) [in the formula, Q represents oxygen or -S(O)<SB>n</SB>-; n represents 0, 1 or 2; G<SP>1</SP>represents nitrogen or CR<SP>6</SP>; R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>may be the same or different and each represents hydrogen, a halogen or the like; R<SP>3</SP>represents hydrogen, a halogen or the like; R<SP>4</SP>represents hydrogen, a halogen or the like; and R<SP>5</SP>represents a 4-10C alkyl group or a 3-10C alkenyl group].
