摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for optical inspection of an object. SOLUTION: A plurality of light sources (30) for forming a light source array (32) are arrayed on a support element. An imaging unit (34) is used for photographing a plurality of images of the object. Further, an evaluation/control unit (36) determines a characteristic of the object based on the images. The support element defines an inspection space (44) for storing the object during rotation in a rotation direction. Further, the array defines a housing surface (42) having a spread (46) in a first lateral direction in the rotation direction during rotation. The array has a spread (104) in a second lateral direction in the rotation direction. The spread in the second lateral direction is smaller than the spread in the first lateral direction on the housing surface. The evaluation/control unit (36) is formed so that the light source is controlled based on a present rotation position of the support element, in order to generate a variable light/dark pattern (49) on the whole housing surface by using the light source.
