METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CUTTING STEEL PIPE BURIED UNDERGROUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for cutting a steel pipe and the like by which when cutting the steel pipe and the like buried underground, traffic disturbance can be minimized and cutting work can be performed efficiently.

SOLUTION: A cutter 1 provided with a plurality of rotary blades 3 is inserted into a lining steel pipe 23. Cutting work for cutting a whole circumference of a peripheral wall of a steel pipe 24 from an inside of the pipe with the rotary blades 3 is sequentially performed at positions at predetermined intervals in a longitudinal direction of the pipe. When performing the cutting work, the rotary blade 3 to be used is switched by a rotary blade switching mechanism 4 provided to the cutter 1.
