PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of automatically selecting and reproducing only a part of contents from a contents group when desiring to look through what kind of contents are included in own holding contents, when a lot of contents photographed by a video camera are accumulated in an HDD or the like. SOLUTION: From a specified contents group, the contents are excluded from reproduction candidate by three steps and only the content remained after the selection are reproduced. One of the steps is exclusion of duplicated content, one more is exclusion of edited original content, other one is exclusion of contents close to the photographed recording date and time.
