PURPOSE: Rain effluent treatment apparatus and method are provided to reduce the load of nonpoint contaminants flowing into water through physical and biological treatment of rain effluent containing nonpoint contaminants. CONSTITUTION: A rain effluent treatment apparatus comprises: a high speed filter(10) for removing granular contaminants contained in rainfall effluent; an anoxic biofilter tank(20) performing removal of dissolved contaminants and denitriding; an aerobic biofilter tank(30) performing removal of dissolved contaminants and nitrification in treatment water; and a membrane filtering tank(40) for obtaining reusable water.
