<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the occurrence of color breaks and improve the display quality. <P>SOLUTION: A projection-type display 10 includes an image-output section 10, which outputs a monochrome image DR of a red color component in a first period T1 within each unit period F, outputs a monochrome image DB of a blue-color component in a second period T2 within each unit period F, and outputs a monochrome image DG of a green-color component in a third period T3 within each unit period F; a distribution section 20; a compositing section 30; and a projection lens 40. The monochrome image DR is guided to a first optical path 60, the monochrome image DB is guided to a second optical path 70, and the monochrome image DG is guided to a third optical path 80 by the distribution section 20. Then, a delay amount (the length of time up to the compositing section 30) of the monochrome image DR is set larger than that of the monochrome image DB, and the delay amount of the monochrome image DB is set larger than that of the monochrome image DG. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
