PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent distortion from remaining even when an external force is applied from a lateral direction while a lower stage is collapsed. SOLUTION: An extendable antenna 1 includes: a flexible linear third element 12; a pipe-like second element for housing the third element 12 and is extended/collapsed so as to freely slide with respect to the third element; and a pipe-like first element 10 for housing the second element 11 and is extended/collapsed so as to freely slide with respect to the second element. A length of the third element 12 is set longer than that of the second element 11 so as to generate clearance Ls in the third element 12 when the second element 11 is collapsed and completely housed in the third element 12.
