The method involves pre-treating a metal part (2) with an adhesive agent, and uniting the metal part with a polymer mold (3). A composite component (1) is heated to a predetermined temperature over a predetermined time in the united region by infrared radiation provided by the infrared emitter, where the mold is designed as a vulcanized rubber part.
