An interactive window display system, in particular for a shop window, comprises a sensor 13 on a window 11 for activation by a person on the outside, for example the hand 14 of a potential customer. Inside the window a content presentation device 16 controls a display 12 in accordance with the wishes of the potential customer. The invention permits a store to display variable content according to a selection made outside the store, for example when the store is closed. The sensor unit preferably communicates wirelessly with the content presentation device. A clock may be provided so that in the absence of any sensor input the display is automatically varied. Sensors, e.g. cameras, may be provided to enable the system to detect and respond to movements such as hand gestures. |
