PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of flickers and display deterioration regarding an electro-optical device, a driving method thereof, and an electronic device. SOLUTION: The electro-optical device includes: a digital code generation means for dividing a one-frame period of image data into a plurality of sub-frame periods and generating a digital code for defining lighting/nonlighting of a pixel in each of the plurality of sub-frame periods; a voltage supply means for supplying a data voltage corresponding to the digital code to the pixel electrode of the pixel; and a common voltage supply means for supplying a common voltage to the common electrode of the pixel. The digital code generation means generates the digital code so that one of lighting and nonlighting concentrate during a continuous sub-frame period including an earlier sub-frame period or a later sub-frame period in the one-frame period of the plurality of sub-frame periods.
