<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display device that registers a part of a displayed page image as a bookmark of a data file by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: The information display device includes a page image display processing means for displaying an image corresponding to the data file by page on a display part. The information display device is provided with: an area image extraction means for extracting, from the data file, a partial area of the page image displayed by page on the display part by the page image display processing means; an area image list display part for arranging images of the areas extracted by the area image extraction means to display the arranged images as a list on the display part; and an area image selection means for selecting at least one of images of the area displayed in a list on the display part.
