摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device and a spindle device of a machine tool which can accurately measure an axial load acting on a rotating shaft directly from a rotating member by a compact sensor. <P>SOLUTION: In the rotating shaft 11, a front end is supported by a pair of angular ball bearings 20 and 30 to which an orientation pre-load is applied, and a rear end is supported by a cylindrical roller bearing 40 so as to be rotatable. On an outer peripheral surface of a seat 81 between inner rings which is arranged between the inner rings 22 and 32 of the pair of angular ball bearings 20 and 30, an encoder 84 is provided in which characteristics of a surface to be detected are alternately changed in the circumferential direction. A detecting part 90 of the sensor 82 opposed to the surface to be detected of the encoder 84 detects the change of the characteristics of the surface to be detected to measure the axial load acting on the rotating shaft 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
