PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cylinder device which lessens an impact at the time when a piston contacts an end wall by making the piston sliding inside a cylinder reduce its speed when reaching the end wall of the cylinder. SOLUTION: The air cylinder device includes: an air cylinder mechanism, which is made up of the cylinder, the piston arranged slidably inside the cylinder, and a piston rod connected to the piston and arranged so as to pass through the end wall of the cylinder; an air supplying source, which supplies air to working chambers formed at both sides of the piston in the cylinder; and a control valve, which communicates the air supplied from the air supplying source with one of both working chambers selectively and communicates the other working chamber to an exhaust pipe. A throttle valve, which regulates air flow rate, is arranged in the exhaust valve, and a buffer means, which reserves the air temporarily, is arranged between the throttle valve and the control valve.
