PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microlens original plate or a method for manufacturing a microlens by which a microlens group made of different lens materials and having a high aperture ratio can be efficiently formed with high shape accuracy. SOLUTION: The microlens original plate 10 has two or more recessed parts 12 and each recessed part 12 independently has a lens material inlet port 13. The method for manufacturing the microlens includes: a process of pressing the microlens original plate 10 to a substrate 30; a process of charging the lens materials 41, 42, 43 to the recessed parts 12 of the microlens original plate 10; and a process of exfoliating the microlens original plate 10 from the substrate 30. Otherwise a thin film of an intermediate layer material is formed on the substrate 30, a transparent intermediate layer may be formed by molding while pressing the microlens original plate 10 to the thin film and then the lens materials may be charged. Further after exfoliating the microlens original plate 10, a process for smoothing a microlens shape by heat treatment or polishing or pressing a shape correcting metallic mold may be contained.
