PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground structure which does not deteriorate a function of a structure such as a utility tunnel for housing a channel, a cable, etc., with respect to assumed displacement of a slip surface. SOLUTION: The tunnel 1 is constructed to cross a slip surface F in the ground G, and includes a traversing section 10 including the site traversing the slip surface F and a general section 20 ahead and rear of the traversing section 10. The traversing section 10 includes a pair of displacement absorbing cover bodies 11, 11 opposite to each other with the slip surface positioned between them. The displacement absorbing cover bodes 11 each have an inner hollow cross section larger than the inner hollow cross section in the general section 20.
