<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain fresh water by a distillation method in which seawater is vaporized and cooled using only sunlight and wind power as energy sources. <P>SOLUTION: A desalination apparatus includes a seawater pumping means A, a pretreatment means B for preheating seawater and removing foreign substances, and a seawater desalination means C. The seawater pumping means A includes a Stirling engine 12 as a power source. The pretreatment means B includes a seawater preheating part B1, a separating part B2 for settling foreign substances, and a sunlight reflection plate 22 for heating the seawater preheating part B1. The seawater desalination means C includes a mist spray drum 47 for forming fine droplets of seawater by rotating at high speed, a heat evaporation container 50 for evaporating the droplets at a high temperature, a reflection plate 52 for heating the heat evaporation container 50 with sunlight, a cooling radiator 45 for cooling the evaporated steam, a windmill 43 for air-cooling the cooling radiator 45 and rotating the mist spray drum 47, and a fresh water storage container for storing fresh water obtained by liquefying the steam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
