An electrode for an alkaline accumulator comprises a porous sintered body which carries the active material and which is sintered on to a support, the surface of which has been previously roughened. The roughening may be produced by spraying or sintering a metal on to the support or by subjecting the support to an oxidation and reduction process. The support may be electroplated before being roughened. |
