<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal member capable of restraining the operating property and durability of a ball screw from getting worse, a method for attaching the seal member, and the ball screw equipped with the seal member. <P>SOLUTION: The ball screw 1 includes a screw shaft 2 having a spiral screw shaft side raceway track groove 8 on an outer circumferential face, and a nut 4 arranged relatively movably on the outer circumferential side of the screw shaft 2, the seal member 6 attached to the moving directional end face of the nut 4, and slide-contacting with the outer circumferential face of the screw shaft 2 and the screw shaft side raceway track groove 8, to close the space between the outer circumferential face of the screw shaft 2 and an inner circumferential face of the nut 4, is formed of a heat shrinking material shrunken by heating, and the seal member 6 is thereby configured to contract part of the heated seal member 6 in the direction of pressing the outer circumferential face of the screw shaft 2 and the screw shaft side raceway track groove 8, when heating the seal member 6 attached onto the moving directional end face of the nut 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
