The terminal has a spring force element (10) i.e. bent spring steel band, for connecting an inserted conductor (14). The spring force element has a contact leg (16) acting as a bearing for clamping the conductor, and a clamping leg (18) for applying a clamping force. The spring force element has an opening via which a current bar (22) directly contacts the conductor. The bar is arranged on the spring force element. The conductor is arranged in a region of an inner surface (24) of the spring force element.
