<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure adjusting valve inspection method capable of highly accurately an inspecting defect of a pressure adjusting valve by a simple constitution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method for inspecting pressure adjusting valve 150, the defect of the pressure adjusting valve 150 which communicates with a function droplet discharge head 17 having a plurality of nozzle rows 99 and adjusts the supply pressure of a function liquid to the function droplet discharge head 17 is inspected by discharging the function liquid from the function droplet discharge head 17 for each nozzle row 99. The method for inspecting pressure adjusting valve is provided with both a discharge weight measuring process for making each nozzle row 99 discharge the function liquid for inspection and measuring the weight of the inspection discharge of each nozzle row 99 and a weight reference determination process for comparing the measured weight of the inspection discharge of each nozzle row with the reference weight range of discharge to be a normal reference of inspection and for determining the presence of the defect of the pressure adjusting valve 150 only in the case that the weight of the inspection discharge in each nozzle row 99 comes off form the reference weight range of discharge.
