PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing fluorosulfonylimide salts such as N-(fluorosulfonyl)-N-(fluoroalkylsulfonyl)imide salts or di(fluorosulfonyl)imide salts by simply and efficiently eliminating by-produced metal salts, and to provide fluorosulfonylimide salts. SOLUTION: The method for producing fluorosulfonylimide salts includes: a process of preparing a compound represented by general formula (VI) by reacting a compound represented by general formula (II) with an onium salt; and a step of preparing a compound represented by general formula (III) by reacting a compound represented by general formula (VI) with an alkali metal compound. In the scheme, R<SP>1</SP>denotes at least one element selected from the group consisting of elements of Group 11 to Group 15 and Period 4 to Period 6 (excluding arsenic and antimony); R<SP>2</SP>denotes an alkali metal; R<SP>4</SP>denotes fluorine or a 1-6C fluorinated alkyl group; R<SP>5</SP>is an onium cation; m is an integer of 2 or 3; n is equivalent to a valence of the onium cation R<SP>5</SP>and is an integer of 1-3; and l is 1.
