PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for adjusting multimedia items are provided to quickly and conveniently adjust the properties of multimedia items without scene change. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for adjusting multimedia items comprises a display unit(100) and a controller. The display unit includes an auxiliary execution region(500) for displaying information on sound source control of multimedia items and an execution region(400) for generating an input signal which commands or selects information outputted to the auxiliary execution region. The controller controls the reproduction and the sound source control of multimedia items according to the input signal. The auxiliary execution region includes one or both of an auxiliary information display region and an auxiliary wheel region. The auxiliary information display region outputs one or both of a sound source control list and an index corresponding to the size of sound source control item of the sound source control list. The auxiliary wheel region generates an input signal for selecting one of the sound source control list according to a touch event and an input signal for selecting the size of the selected sound source control item.
