PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise of a cross flow fan and improve wind quantity characteristic by arranging an end part stream lining protrusion on a suction side end part of a rear guider, which is formed in a protrusion shape having a thickness gradually changed in the thickness direction of the rear guider member, whose cross-sectional shape is formed in a circular arc shape or a curved surface shape, and which is provided with a curvature part. SOLUTION: A cross flow fan is composed of a cross flow type impeller 2, a rear guider 3 for covering a circumferential side surface of one direction holding the impeller 2, and a stabilizer 4 arranged at a position close to the other circumferential side surface. In this case, the rear guider 3 is integrally formed with a stream lining protrusion 7, having a thickness gradually changed in the thickness direction of the rear guider member. The protrusion 7 is provided with a circular arc shaped or curved surface shaped curvature pats 7b, 7c which are protruded to both sides of the guide surface 3a of the rear guider 3 in a direction perpendicular to the guide surface 3a in the shape of cross section of the protrusion 7, and an end edge side curvature part 7d for continuing the curvature parts 7b, 7c. The protrusion 7 is formed in a compound curvature shape continued smoothly as a whole. |
