The purpose of this invention is to improve the reception quality characteristics of mobile terminal apparatuses by improving the frequency diversity effects thereof even in a case where the system bandwidth is widened. Provided are a base station apparatus and a mobile terminal apparatus. The base station apparatus maps transmission data, which are to be transmitted to users, onto at least one of a plurality of group bands into which the system band has been divided, and then transmits the mapped transmission data by use of downlinks. Each mobile terminal apparatus receives and demaps the transmission data mapped onto the group bands.
