AMMONIA OXIDATION CATALYST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ammonia oxidation catalyst unit and an ammonia oxidation method.

SOLUTION: The ammonia oxidation catalyst unit includes a pair of honeycomb blocks including a gas permeable material layer between the blocks and demonstrating a function of executing radial mixing of gas flow. The blocks include an ammonia oxidation catalyst. The layer is arranged at a position between a height lower than 15 cm and a height in the range of 3-0.5 cm.
