PURPOSE: A producing method of teprenone is provided to produce the teprenone with the high yield by a simple and economical process with one step using a practical and stable reactant. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of teprenone marked with chemical formula 1, comprises a step of reacting a linalool compound marked with chemical formula 2, and acetylated meldrum`s acid marked with chemical formula 3, at 130~160 deg C for more than 6 hours. The reacting dose of the acetylated meldrum`s acid is 2~3equivalent. A catalyst for this reaction is selected from the group consisting of Al(OPri)_3, Al_2O_3, B(OCH_3)_3, BF3Et_2O, FeCl_36H_2O, Mg(ClO_4)2, SiO_2, TiO_2, Ti(OPri)_4 and ZrO_2.
