<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system in which an operation part in an endoscope is simply composed and an operator himself can simply and certainly perform operation to two or more processors. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The endoscope includes: the operation part which enables the input of operation by the operator; a transmitting section which can transmit to at least one of the two or more processors, to which an endoscope is connected, a manipulating signal about operation inputted by the operation part; a distance measurement section, which is provided at the leading edge of the insert section of the endoscope and measures distance from the leading edge of the insert section of the endoscope to the observation object; and two or more observation sections. The endoscope is connected to the two or more processors corresponding to the respective observation sections. Moreover, the transmitting section transmits the manipulating signal to at least one of the two or more processors on the basis of the distance measured by the distance measurement section.
