A positioning method and device for a home base station. The method includes that: an inner MS module is started up by Femtocell to access the network with the identity as MS through an air interface. The identification of Femtocell is carried in the air interface message sent to the ASN during the process of accessing the network. The identification of Femtocell is saved by ASN, and it is confirmed that the access device is Femtocell by the identification of Femtocell after the message of accessing the network successfully sent by FAP AAA server is received. A position information request message is sent to a location server to trigger a process of the location-based service for the Femtocell to position the Femtocell. The method and device make the exact position information of Femtocell in the macro-network be obtained from the network side when the home base station accesses the network.
