<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, lightweight and highly efficient fluid machine having a novel mechanism having both merits of scroll type and rotary type mechanisms. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This fluid machine has a fixed side member having a fixed spiral wall, and a movable side member having a movable spiral wall for engaging with the fixed spiral wall, having a cylindrical wall in an axial directional position different from the movable spiral wall and driven to swing by a main shaft having a crankshaft part, and is characterized in that a scroll type volume changing part is formed between both spiral walls, and a rotary type volume changing part is formed between an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical wall of the movable side member and an inner peripheral surface of a fixed housing for storing the movable side member, and both volume changing parts are communicably constituted.
