PURPOSE: A method, an apparatus and a system for managing DRM forward lock contents are provided to store more contents by utilizing a mobile storage medium when an internal memory is not sufficient. CONSTITUTION: A portable device searches DRM contents in a content providing server(505), and the user of the portable device selects the providing method of the selected DRM contents(510). The portable device downloads the DRM contents for which a forward lock is set up(520), and the user selects the storage space of the encoded DRM forward lock contents(535). The portable device stores the encoded DRM forward lock contents in the storage space(540).
