<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an erroneous character by use of an existing key by easy operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A key input device has: a memory 105 for storing character or the like such that the character or the like allocated to a numeric keypad 11a can be read in a prescribed order; a liquid crystal panel 21 for displaying the character or the like allocated to the numeric keypad 11a; a cursor movement part 100b for moving a cursor according to operation of a movement key 23b to select a corrected character or the like that is a correction target; and a correction part 100a for correcting the corrected character or the like according to the operation of the numeric keypad 11a. When the numeric keypad 11a operated for the correction and the numeric keypad 11a operated to display the selected corrected character or the like vary, the correction part 100a corrects the corrected character or the like to a character or the like of order according with order of the corrected character or the like among the characters or the like allocated to the numeric keypad 11a operated for the correction.
