<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home network system in which presence/absence of any abnormality on a virtual path connecting a terminal gateway and a communication adapter is confirmed automatically from the side of a network home electrical appliance and if there is any abnormality on the communication path, the communication adapter is reset to automatically try canceling of trouble. <P>SOLUTION: In the home network system, a network home electrical appliance 5 periodically transmits a communication path confirmation request signal, a communication adapter 4 broadcasts the communication path confirmation request signal from the network home electrical appliance and when a gateway 1 at a terminal of a home network receives the communication path confirmation request signal, a communication confirmation response signal is sent to the communication adapter of a transmission source. If the communication path confirmation response signal is not received from the gateway within a fixed time after transmission of a confirmation signal, the communication adapter 4 determines communication path abnormality, resets itself and tries automatic recovery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
