<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing scent sheet which is light in weight and not bulky, reduces transportation cost sharply, exerts that effect simply only by being immersed into water at the start of use, retains the effect for a long time, and allows the selection of consumption according to the purpose of use, the width of a target space and/or the effective time of use. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The water-absorbing scent sheet is composed of mixture contents comprising at least scent extract powder 2 with water-absorbing resin powder 1 which is sealed in a water-permeable bag 3. Alternatively, the contents may be sealed in two or more divisions of the bag 3. The scent extract powder 2 is preferably one of insect repellent power and animal repellent powder, deodorizing powder, scent extract powder and the mixtures of the insect repellent power and the and animal repellent powder with the scent extract powder. Preferably, one side of the bag 3 is formed of a water-impermeable plastic film, and the other side is formed of a plastic film composed of a water-permeable nonwoven fabric or paper or a porosity-imparted plastic film.
