<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with a conventional screed apparatus, in which an asphalt-sludge component cannot be perfectly prevented from penetrating into the screed apparatus through a clearance for vertically moving a tamper edge, and accumulated therein even if the clearance is narrowed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A screed frame 11 includes a duct 21 with a blowoff port turned to an upper end of a tamper edge 16, and a heating chamber 22 for generating hot air is connected to the end opposite to the blowoff port. The hot air is generated with a heater 31 provided in the internal space of the heating chamber 22, sent into the duct 21 with a fan 23 provided in the rear of the heating chamber 22, and brown onto the upper edge of the tamper edge 16 through the blowoff port.
